Waratahs FC’s third fixture for the season was at home against Saints FC. FC started the match with the bare 11 however managed to maintain the majority of the early possession. The first goal came from Connor Stewart in the 30th minute – who seems to only be able to score worldies – banging a shot from the top right of the box into the top right corner. 11 minutes later the second goal came from Adam Kelly, who noticed the keeper was off his line and chipped him from a good 30 metres out. FC went into the sheds 2-0 up at the break.
FC came out a little slow in the second half and Saints took the opportunity to get one back in the 50th minute. The rest of the game was a back and forth physical contest with more chances both teams way, however FC managed to hold out Saints to take the points for a 2-1 win. Players player went to Karl Salvanera for his work rate and effort, whilst Tristan went to Ryan Sinclair.
Great work team!
